Chef Vesselin Kalev joining a prestigious Chefs’ association
Vesselin Kalev, head chef of Zornitza Family Estate Relais & Châteaux, has been invited to join the JRE – one of the most prestigious organizations for head chefs in Europe. His membership will be effective as of January 1, 2024.
The JRE, which unites over 350 top-notch restaurants and talented chefs, aims to raise the level and image of the culinary industry through the exchange of good practices and experience between chefs from different countries.
JRE was founded 49 years ago and currently its members have a total of 180 Michelin stars. The core values that the association members share are: caring about food and its origin, openness for innovation, passion for the culinary art, preserving the culinary identity and creating perfect moments for customers. Nearly 5 million guests visit JRE restaurants worldwide every year.
To be admitted to JRE, you must be recommended by one of the members of the association. Chef Kalev and aEstivum restaurant have received a recommendation from Chef Oliver Röder, JRE President for Germany and chef and owner of a Michelin starred restaurant.
Niko’las and Cosmos restaurants in Sofia, as well as ONÀ restaurant near Belogradchik, also received recommendations to join this large family of top chefs and premium restaurants as representatives of Bulgaria.
